Love letter to my sistas

Dear Beautiful Black Woman,

You are right where you are supposed to be in life.

All that you have done in your life has brought you to this day. This day that is like no other.

This day that can be crafted to be whatever you choose, because you are in control of your life and the people and energies you allow in it.

I see you sis.

Yea I do. I see your beauty shining through in all that you do.

I see how well you care for the children you have birthed, the children you teach, the children you mentor.

I see how you are there for your sistafriends with a loving ear.

I see how you are patient with those that challenge you.

I see how you support your mate and strive to be a better partner for them.

I see how you show your family loving attention everyday.

I see how you SHINE in your life’s calling and always show up as you.

I see how you love your body on the regular.

And speaking of your body. It’s perfect. Yup perfect, because it’s yours. There may be pounds you want to release or places you want to tone up, but guess what girl? That’s just making it even mo’ better than it already is.

Every curve on your hips, every stretch mark on your thighs, every sag in your arms, every line on your face, every blemish, every scar on your belly is p e r f e c t.

Smile and know that.

My sista, my sista, I love you. I may know you, I may not, but I love you.

I love you for the trials you face daily and the graceful resilience you show.

I see your tears and I know that there is strength in every drop.

I love you for still shining despite what others have thrown your way in the past. I love you for THRIVING in a world that may not have your back all the time. But I know you have your own back all. the. time.

I see you sis.

Be patient with where you are on your journey. Don’t feel you should be a certain place or have received a certain something already.

I see you recommitting to being the best version of you everyday.

I see you for praying to a Higher Power and knowing that sometimes you have to simply leave it up to Him.

I see you loving your beautiful, melanated self.

I see you and I love you.

With All My Heart,

Nazaahah
